INFORMATION ABOUT BABYWEARING CONSULTANT SERVICES, LLC
A consultant provides expert advice and guidance with the goal of improving performance in some specialty. Consultants work to focus vision, strategies, and structures. Consultants also promote co-construction of knowledge, empowering the people they work with to find their own answers to progress. Consultants work with people who are already skilled in their specialty but are looking to move on to the next level.

A teacher or educator models, guides, and evaluates practice. Educators are involved throughout the entire process of learning from formative to summative. They identify knowledge and skill gaps, and have tools for their learners to bridge those gaps. Educators share content and exemplify great work in their specialty. They inform and inspire their learners. Educators typically work with learners who are learning a new skill, or building on previous knowledge.
Babywearing Consultant Services, LLC offers training, certification, continuing education, and certification renewal services for volunteer and community-based babywearing educators who have already established themselves as skilled babywearers. Successful candidates earn the credential of Babywearing Educator, BWE, demonstrating competence in beginning babywearing skills and skill in community and caregiver babywearing education.

Finance Model —
The Babywearing Educator Program™ is intended as a benefit to community volunteers and caregivers working to promote babywearing as a universal caregiving practice.
A percentage of the revenue generated from BWE certification is given back to the local community by supporting Oklahoma City Babywearers. Oklahoma City Babywearers holds free meetings and supports babywearing outreach by providing WIC recipients a free carrier of their choice, education, and ongoing support to babywear.
The remainder of certification fees are then used to support the training and testing of certification candidates, to update relevant continuing education, website maintenance, and costs related to program maintenance, and support personnel working to continue the certification program’s growth and development.
